Will there be a new answer book to go with the new edition of theory books?

Yes the answer books will remain completely up to date. Sometimes the layout looks a little different in some editions.

i looked at answer book for grade 4 theory.
pg 11 2nd last questions – Modulation should be B min to D Maj.
pg11, last question – modulation is a bit ambiguous. Looks like C min to Eb maj (no sharpen Bb) then C min again.

Hi Kevin, thanks for looking so thoroughly. With those last two questions, the instruction is that the modulation is in the middle – implying that it modulates and then modulates back again. So the answers work as they are. However, for the Dmaj/Bmin question, it would actually work either way!

There are some mistakes in the answer book that confused me a lot. e.g on page 50 No.5 Cadence 1 should be imperfect not interrupted coz answer for No.4 was IV to V. And in Harmony writing questions, the questions in the book and answer book is different (when questions in my book says writing in four-part vocal style, questions in the answer book says writing in pianoforte style), I guess that’s because I’m having 2019 version and maybe this answer book is for a new version.

Thanks for this Sophie. The errors you refer to were on the errata sheet published on the website and have since been corrected. The 2020 answer book is now up but even so, slight differences in questioning remain between editions and its best to ask your teacher to have a look at your answers, as there can be hundreds of variations to correct answers!
